Child Safety Standards
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This Service is operated by Scoutyx B.V. Contact: support@scoutyx.com
Scoutyx has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) material or behavior of any kind, on or off the platform.
Our commitment
- We do not permit content or conduct that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits minors. How to report it, and what our team can do, is described below.
- Uploads are scanned for malware. Photos and videos added to profiles, posts and stories, and photos and voice notes sent in messages, are shown to others only after that scan. The scan does not detect abusive images, so we rely on reports from users to find them.
- An athlete aged 13 to 15 can only open an account after a parent or guardian consents (not in Australia, where you must be 16). Nobody under 13 can join.
- No scout or organisation can message an athlete under 16, with or without a guardian's consent.
- When a scout who does not follow an athlete under 18 writes to them, the athlete sees a safety reminder before replying. If a scout starts conversations with three or more athletes under 18 they do not follow within 30 days, a report is raised for our team.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency services first, then tell us.
How to report a concern
Every profile, post, photo, and message in the app has a Report option. You can also block any user directly from their profile. When you report, you can choose “Child safety concern” as the reason. Reports are reviewed by our team, who can remove reported posts, comments, photos, videos and stories and suspend the account responsible. We do not review profiles before they become visible; our team reviews profiles and content that are reported.
For urgent concerns, or if you cannot use the in-app report tool, contact us directly at support@scoutyx.com.
How reports reach our team
Reports marked as a child safety concern, and reports that involve a user under 18, are emailed to our team as soon as they are made, rather than in the regular batch.
Named contact
Gonzalo Campoy is Scoutyx's designated point of contact for child safety matters and CSAE prevention practices.
