Plain answers about how Scoutyx works. Where an answer comes from our Privacy Policy or our Terms of Service, the article links to the section, and those pages are the binding text.
Athene
- How Athene works
Athene is the AI assistant in the Scoutyx app: it turns what you type into a search of real athlete profiles, and helps you narrow, open and compare the results.
- The match score
The number from 0 to 100 on each athlete card shows how well that athlete fits your search. Scoutyx works it out from the profiles, with no AI.
Profiles, privacy and safety
- Who sees your profile
An athlete profile is seen only inside the Scoutyx app, by people signed in to an account, and never on the public web.
- Young athletes and guardians
Athletes can join Scoutyx from 13. Under 16, a parent or guardian consents first, and young athletes get extra protections.
- AI permission and what is sent to OpenAI
Athene and the automated checks of comments use OpenAI, so they need your permission first. This is what the permission covers, what is sent, and how to withdraw it.
- Saved Athene chats
For scouts and organisations, Athene saves each chat to the account, so it can be picked up on any device. This is what is saved, who can read it and how to delete it.
- Your data and security
How to get a copy of your data or correct it, what we never do with it, and how we protect your account.
- Deleting your account
You can delete your Scoutyx account in the app or, without the app, on our website. This is what happens next.
Messages, reports, clubs and trials
- Messages, reports and blocking
Who can message whom on Scoutyx, how young athletes are protected, and how to report or block someone.
- Clubs and trials
What organisation accounts are, what a club page shows, how an athlete shows their club on their profile, and how open trials work.
The binding texts are our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
